OREO TRUFFLES
The original Oreo truffle recipe is
dipped in dark chocolate. Magpie
prefers white chocolate for hers.

18-oz. pkg. chocolate
sandwich cookies with
white filling, finely
crushed

8-oz. pkg. cream cheese,
softened
1
lb. white baking
chocolate, melted
In large mixing bowl combine
crushed cookies and cream
cheese. Beat w ith mixer on low
speed until well blended. Form
1-inch balls by hand. Dip balls in
white chocolate; place on
baking sheet covered w ith waxed
paper. Refrigerate 1 hour or until
firm. To store, cover and refrigerate.

cup butter, softened
cup granulated sugar
Tbsp. vegetable oil
eggs
cups all-purpose flour
tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
cup sour cream
1V2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 3250F. Line eighteen

/2-inch muffin cups w ith paper bake cups.

In large mixing bowl beat V 2 cup butter,
granulated sugar, and oil w ith electric mixer
on medium speed to combine. Add eggs one
at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In separate bowl whisk together flour,
baking soda, and salt; set aside.

Add
half
the dry ingredients to the butter
mixture and blend well. Add V4 cup sour
cream; blend. Add the remaining dry
ingredients; blend. Add remaining sour
cream and 1V2 teaspoons vanilla; blend.

Fill lined cups three-quarters full. Bake
20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in
centers comes out clean.

Cool cupcakes on w ire rack in pans
5 minutes. Remove from pans and cool
completely on w ire racks.
7.
Pour V4 cup chocolate liqueur in shallow
bowl. Dip tops of cupcakes in the liqueur.
Frost cupcakes w ith W hite Frosting using
a pastry bag fitted w ith star tip, or use a
spoon to dollop frosting. Top each cupcake
w ith a
raspberry
or
blackberry.
